
On November 17th, Czech citizens in Prague celebrated the Day of Struggle for Freedom and Democracy. 2024 marks the 35th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, and many in Prague gathered in iconic places from the revolution, including Narodni street where many of the most important actions happened, as well as Letna park.
While many people celebrated the struggle for democracy, some on the far right used the opportunity to rally around causes including anti-immigration and anti-Ukrainian resettlement.
